These lightly spiced Breaded Prawns are easy to make and are ideal to serve as a starter, or as a part of a buffet or picnic. Serve with a dipping sauce of your choice.
Ingredients
- 50g plain flour
- Salt & freshly ground pepper
- 1 egg
- 50g panko breadcrumbs
- ½ tsp. chilli powder
- 12 uncooked king prawns, peeled with tails left on
- Olive oil for spraying
- Dipping sauce
Preparation
- In a shallow bowl combine the flour, salt and pepper. In a second bowl, mix the egg with a fork, until well beaten. Finally in a third bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs and chilli powder.
- Coat each prawn with the seasoned flour, followed by the beaten egg and finally with the breadcrumb and chilli powder mix.
- Place the Airfryer basket onto the baking tray. Spread the breaded prawns evenly in the basket and spray on both sides with the olive oil.
- Place the baking tray into the oven, the on rack position 2. Set to AirFry at 180˚C, for 5 minutes. Cook until the prawns are evenly golden and crispy.
- Serve with a dipping sauce, such as an aioli mayonnaise.
