This smooth and creamy homemade hummus recipe uses store cupboard ingredients and only takes a few minutes to prepare. Makes a great snack served with raw veggies or your favourite bread.
Ingredients:
- 400g tin of chick peas, drained & reserved
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled
- 2 tbsp tahini paste
- Juice ½ lemon
- 3-4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- Pinch sea salt
- 2-4 tbsp tinned chickpea water
Directions:
- Place all the ingredients into the bowl of your food processor.
- Process until smooth and creamy, adding more chickpea liquid if needed.
- Check seasoning before serving with fresh crusty bread
