Make your own Korean BBQ with our Entertaining Grill. Full of flavour and quick to prepare, this style of cooking is a winner in our books.
Ingredients
Marinade
- 4 tbsp soya sauce
- 4 tbsp mirin
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tsp red chilli flakes
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 2 cm piece fresh root ginger, peeled and finely chopped
- 2 tsp sesame oil
BBQ
- 400g sirloin steak, trimmed of fat and sliced into 1cm strips
- 1 large carrot, peeled and finely sliced on a diagonal
- 200g mixed oriental mushrooms, cleaned and roughly chopped if large
- 1 bunch spring onions, peeled and cut on a diagonal
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
To Serve
- Korean Chilli sauce
- Coriander sauce
- 200g cooked sticky white rice
- 1 Cos lettuce, washed and leaves separated
- Kimchi
- Lime wedges
Preparation
- Put all the ingredients for the marinade into a deep bowl and mix until well combined. You could also use our Mini Prep Pro.
- Add the prepared meat and carrots and stir to coat. Allow to marinate for 30 minutes.
- Pre-heat the Entertaining Grill to 220ºC on both sides.
- Place the marinated meat and carrots on one side of the Entertaining Grill and scatter over the spring onions. Cook for about 5-7 minutes turning occasionally. Once the meat is cooked scatter over the sesame seeds.
- Scatter the mushrooms onto the other side of the grill. Cook for about 5 minutes turning occasionally. Season with the soy sauce.
- Serve with the chilli sauce, coriander sauce, lettuce leaves, sticky rice, kimchi, and lime wedges.
